Free Shoot faq. frequently asked question & terms Is there hidden cost ? There is no hidden cost but there are additions e.g. if you want prints and depending on the size you want.We don't do old school photo prints but quality on velvet or canvas paper guarantied to last for 80 years. this is usually from A5 upwards. Until when is the free shoot ? This promotion is limited until 1st October 2009 on 1st come 1st serve situation. Who qualifies for the opportunity? If you are one of the 125 members in my group "JoinModelClub" on Facebook you qualify. You don’t have to be professional model we use everyday folks, including business women, don’t mater how short or tall you are. Why do we offer this opportunity? We offer this to model's to benefit both them and ourselves, our costs are recovered by being given permission by the models to display these works on our image banks. A release form would be given to the Model to review before any work commences If in the future people Like the model or images portrayed from such photography shoots. We may then even invite the model back for further work, whereby we would offer an hourly rate to the models on all work going forward. As a further benefit to the model we offer the opportunity to let us place work with them should a client wish to deal or photograph the models! How do I get given the chance? Before any shooting begins you will have to chat to me on Facebook. If you want to We can sponsor your cost for a fashion hair stylist If you can’t make it you must contact me within 14 hours to the photo Shoot so we can change the booking or refund your money
What kind of photographs would be taken? What clothes to bring with? What happens before the shoot? When you arrive we will have 10min to talk about the shoot, you will be asked to fill in a model release form not for selling rights but to release it on my web online gallery for marketing. The hair-stylist or makeup-artist will spend 20min to prepare you for the shoots. When you ready the shooting will begin. How to pose? How do I get Exposed for modeling ?
What is included in the shoot? 1) As part of our basic shoots, we will provide the location or studio rental, all equipment and editing will be provided by our team. We would also assist in posing techniques! 3) We have a hair saloon at our Studio and will have a Hair Stylist to style up your hair. 4) You get one A4 and 2 times A5 Prints for free. 5) You get CD
How do we differ from your local Shopping- mall Photo Labs ? In comparison to you will see that my prints are superior because: (1) Did you know that your average Kodak shopping mall labs to mark up their profit don't use top quality Photo paper..We on the other hand only use 285g top of the range Pearl Luster Photo Paper, Somerset Velvet Photo paper,Satern Canvas. We use original micro-chrome ink guarantied to make our photo prints last for 80 years. (2) Our printers are colour calibrated more regularly with colorimetric calibration. (3) We understand how to match the colour space or Icc Profiles of your camera to our printers. Why is Icc Profile important? Wrong profile matching means: Instead of 750 shades from your camera you could get only 600 shades on a printer so printer will automatically default to darker shade value. Here is an e.g.: Your camera chose a Red pixel dot value 249. Now the Shopping mall printer will print a shade value of 200 onto your photo and you get dark shadows with no detail.This you will notice by dark areas around the subject's eyes on the photo..
What is not included? If you want more than the promotional free prints we can arrange for you from our Lab. These are still good prices but valid un till 1October 2009. R20 for A4 (or 2 times A5) R35 for 2 times A4 We generally make the images available to you after we have put them through post processing. This may be within a few hours, or up to a few days after the shoot depending on how much you want us to edit and enhance. (post processing can take about 15min to 2 hours per shot, we do not process everything we shoot only the cream of the crop). Do I get a CD ? Yes you get a Cd but as mentioned above, only images that went thru post processing will be put on the CD for free.
Can I print the CD at another Shopping mall Photo lab instead of at InFocus Studio Lab ? As mentioned above my camera (D300 has higher standards and will not mach the profile of shopping-mall Photo Lab's. In America it is illegal for Photo Shops to print work from another Studio unless they are contracted. From your PC you can view your CD images but you will not have printing rights. Can i upload my CD images to Facebook ? Yes on your CD you will have two folders: 1) Photos: For your quality Photo's 2) For _Web: with your images we provide additional web based 200meg compressed JPG so you can upload them comfortably. What if I loose my CD ? Not to worry, we always keep a backup copy in our Studio Lab for all our customers. Please Note: We do not release any un-edited images (either to you, or for sale). The images markets our work, and we would like them to be in the best possible condition when the general public sees them (either in your portfolio, or in our online galleries)
